Pandemic pivot

As a choral director and musical director during the pandemic of 2020-21, the number one goal was to keep young people safely singing! Daily ensemble rehearsals through Zoom from the home music studio aided by the use of technology such as Flip grid, Soundtrap, and Logic Pro X to create virtual audio and video performances made music making possible. There was much collaboration with professional colleagues as we all tried to figure it out!

Collaboration on video with Daniel Solberg of DSol Productions.

Presented a safe and masked musical theatre production by recording and mixing vocals from ensemble performers and presenting live vocals of social-distanced and masked lead performers. Accompaniment for the musical was a combination of edited tracks and live accompaniment playing Sinfonia, licensed through MTI. Live streamed to school community.
